GFT Afterschool is not one program run four different ages — each grade band has its own projects, its own pace, and its own version of the capstone. Below is what a cycle looks like at each level.
K–2
K–2 students work in small hands-on stations — block-building, simple design challenges, guided reflection circles — with a Formation Guide close by at every step. The capstone is a show-and-tell circle where each child shares one thing they built and one thing they're proud of.
Grades 3–5
Students take on small collaborative projects — simple builds, models, and creative challenges — and begin keeping a portfolio of their own work. The capstone is a classroom-style showcase where small teams present what they made and what they learned making it.
Grades 6–8
Middle schoolers work in project teams on more ambitious builds and creative challenges, practicing structured collaboration, iteration, and presenting ideas to a real audience. The capstone is a team pitch event — part science fair, part design showcase.
Grades 9–12
High schoolers take on independent or small-group capstone projects with real scope — research, design, a creative body of work, or a small venture concept — culminating in a formal presentation to program staff, family, and invited community mentors.

The GFT Afterschool Program is newly launched. No outcome data, effectiveness claims, testimonials, or participation statistics are published on this site, and none will be until completed pilot cycles produce them. Program imagery is representative and will be replaced with consent-cleared photography from live sites. Student formation data is handled under the GFT platform privacy standards, including parent/guardian consent and de-identified reporting.
We are onboarding a limited number of founding pilot sites for the first GFT Afterschool cycles.
